hmm. this comes abit late. haha. comp's over and its really weird feeling like ur the "oldest" in gym already. especially without horse and jenny around, there just isnt anyone around to ask for help.

to horse and jenny:

u guys have really been great seniors and we've had a hell lotsa fun together. from training to boarding, i must say the days in gym is something which was a really key part of my ri life. i will fondly remember the pron jokes, the routines with towels, the operation assholes and competition times. the gym is gnna be really quiet without u guys around. anyway, i was never really part of ur team until sec 3 and this year and we really ended off this team bond with a bang. it was the first time the "dream team" , which we thought would win in sec 3, won gold! anyway, just wanted to say thank you for all the coaching and for the great role model u guys have been. displace nj is canoeing nats this year!

Wow I think I recall making a similar post here a full year ago, just before the Nationals or something hehe.

Time really flies. I'm very disappointed that I can't be back in Singapore to support you guys, but do know that on Thursday, I'll have only the results of the Trampoline competition on my mind.

All of you have trained hard, I'm sure of it. You just have to go to the comp and do what you do every day: Have fun! All of you are more than ready I'm sure of it!

Do please take lots of pictures, especially if you happen to run into Fiona Xie again haha! But seriously, try to take some vids and post them on Youtube or something so I won't be missing out on all the action!

I'm currently in the midst of my preparations for my exams which are exactly a month away, and I am currently only 3 months away from graduation. Like I said, time flies, and my 3 years of Uni life is about over sighz.

I'll be back in Singapore on the 17th of July, and hopefully I can come down to watch the Nationals and catch up with all of you! Sadly I'll only be back in Sg for a month, and I'll be off to the States to start my Masters.

training hasnt been productive lately. worrying, since comp is in like 30+ days? school is starting. kinda regretted not touching my books yet, got a few tests coming up i think. and my time spent on my comp is officially halfed until my router gets replaced or smth. stupid thing died on me. now the internet can only be used on 1 comp.

i suppose being a rafflesian can have really weird experiences.

in about 4 yrs, i think i've had a few weird encounters with cranky people. i can remember distinctly 2 tho.

just yesterday this man came over and started rambling on about how he used to cheat in acsi(i). i supposed he was from acs(i). but anyway, he just went on and on. i was on my way to school. so i was pretty much in a rush and the guy wouldnt let me interrupt him. it went something like this : "i used to stuff.." "erm. i gott-" "books in my shirt during tests" "a go.." "blah blah blah"
yar so basically i couldnt do much but walk on lar. only which i realised he was actually mumbling to himself about his acs(i) life. that was quite freaky.

i think last year. i was waiting for the train to come with hayden at bishan mrt. this guy approached us, he looked pretty decent with his long sleeve shirt, business pants and briefcase and he was in his 50s. he started asking us what we learnt in history and stuff along that line. then he started telling us about pap and rambling about stuff which didnt really make much sense. that was when hayden's train came and i was stuck with him. so he just continued talking and i acted like i was listening (which i realised after that was pretty dumb). then the more he talked, the angrier he got. until the point he was actually shouting in the carriage and talking to other people. he was like "SINGAPOREANS! SPEAK UP! DONT LET THEM STIFLE YOU!" those kind of things. nobody really bothered about him lar. at around toa payoh, this huge army dude came over and told the man off. he said smth like "everyone has their own opinions, u dont have to influence everyone." or smth. the man got really pissed off and started shouting even more. that was when the army dude scolded the f word and got off at toa payoh. that got this man really pissed. he started talking about f word and stuff. he was like "when he said the f word, he's not just scolding me! but scolding everyone! speak up!" yar. so he got really out of control, until the point where an mrt staff had to come over and request that he either stop disturbing everyone or get off the train.

so that kinda set me wondering. is it just the white shirt and pants that attract cranky middle-aged men to talk to me or was i just plain unlucky..

wow. my second post in 3 days. haha not bad.

training sucked today. i spent half my time trying to get rid of a stomachache. by the time i finished, i tried barani once and coach decided i should just do hollow instead..so yar zzz

so life in rj has been pretty great so far. im sleeping in lectures =l thats not very ideal.

i realised a certain group of people in rj who really love to fight. they pick fights over the smallest issues. which part of "civilised society" do they not understand? and its often over really minor stuff it reminds me of bengs. which is quite sad since we're talking about people in rj.

k im dead tired now. i'll try and keep this blog as alive as possible.

In response to jenny's post, the blog wasn't stagnating. In fact, I believe that it was well and truly dead till he added a nice little post hehe. And no, the blog should not be called rjtrampfags. I'm certainly not a fag, and if I had it my way, it'd be the aforementioned rjtramphunks!

You all talk about life in JC, and here I am, an old man, who's about to graduate from University... I've got 5 months of Uni life left, after which I'll be a graduate. Ouch. That's when you know your fun-fun days are over. All my meetings with friends will now consist of dinner/drinks after work, and discussions will (actually, are) revolving around who's getting paid more, who just bought a new car, who's getting married blah blah.

It's a whole different ball game.

So all you little kids (and I have a right to call you all that!) really should go out and enjoy life! Boon, you just go ahead and be yourself and impress that hot chick waiting for you at the other side of the canteen. There's no need to be anyone but yourself. The fakeness will wear off once people get more comfortable with each other, so don't worry about it. Been there, done that.

Nice to have people updating this again! I'll see you all in July, and do let me know how the tramp comp goes. I'm rather sad that I'm going to miss it this time around.

i shall post. haha. thanks to complaints from a certain nj guy who claims to be very hot. apparently this blog is really stagnating.

okay lets talk about training for now.

hmm. ri tramp had a huge hole..u can actually stick a few toes in when ur jumping. so that was really freaky. we had to plaster it up and it became a soft spot there. quite hard to train with that so yar.. our training hasnt been really progressive. but thankfully.. we finally got a new canvas! so now training, hopefully, would be much more fruitful? yar. i still havent got my barani yet. so im really zibei-ing now. its like barely 2 months to competition. not good.

oh did i mention im in canoe now? canoe's pretty fun lar with jenny and horse around. the training's pretty tough. yupp.

oh yar. i got my o lvl higher chinese result back. haha quite zibei lar. c5. but seriously, i dont really care about it lar. i mean it doesnt really matter anyway. the main thing is that i passed! so i dont need to care about chinese for the rest of my life anymore. which is a good thing! =)

jc life isnt really that fun in my opinion. i guess everyone is just really fake. its quite a shame that during canteen breaks im always left alone stoning at one corner while everyone's trying to impress someone. so yar whatever. hope that goes away soon. lectures are pretty boring. maths is seriously slow-paced. i can sleep for like 40 mins, and when im wake up, we're still on the same damned page?! boring lecturers dont help either. apparently they dont really care that half the hall is engaged in their own private conversations than listening to what the lecturers are talking about. tutorials are okay i guess.

Went skiing in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and had a marvellous time! Got loads more photos up at http://mingwei.myphotoalbum.com so do go and have a look!

In the meantime, I just got back from a lovely ballet performance at the Royal Opera House by the Royal Ballet of 'Nutcracker', and it was magnificent. It's not fair that all the good dances are given to the girls though. The male dancers are simply so powerful and graceful on stage!

ESPECIALLY PREFECT CAMPAIGNS. they shld be called prefect cam-pains. real pain to hear their speeches. btw now sec 1s and sec2s get to be nominated as prefects. not the old sec2s and 3s system anymore. can u imagine a sec 1 trying to book a sec 4? laughable.

rp sucks. ri's rp sucks at least.

why? they spam u with projects and assignments continually thruout the year. the so-called more time that u have without o lvls, just means more time in class. academic time that is. we learn stuff thats related to a lvls and stuff. might be useful, but hell, who'd remember these stuff in 2 years' time when we sit for the a lvl paper? supposing that, they might reteach the stuff we learn in secondary school again, so wad's the point then? the only good thing about rp is that we get to skip o lvls (duh). but the bad thing is that, our weekdays just get much more busy. maybe we just suck at time management. but projects tend to encourage the do-1-day-before-deadline attitude. moreover, these projects are conveniently placed right before the tests and stuff. so before the tests, ur totally bogged down with alot of work.

o btw, rgs already finished their common tests LONG ago. they're like slacking and stuff now. bloody hell. why do we get different programmes when both schools get to skip o lvls and learn supposedly the same things? rp sucks balls.

still. i get to mock at people taking o lvls. whahaah.

just imagine the morning after winning the competition. u wake up and u know u've won the gold. its an amazing feeling. but u might also wake up and look at urself in the mirror. thinking why u worked so hard the past 2 years, tolerating all those shit only to get robbed of the gold by barely 0.05. well. basically, u can make the difference. its 9 days. that's alot of time.

u know, a div is completely different from the sec sch divisions. because we spend more of our time rowing and teaching than acutally training. (ok they do for the rowing part at least)
but that doesnt change how i think its really kind of a privelege to be able to compete.
even if its just tramp with a 20 going on 21 year old routine.
even if u train the whole year for 30 seconds, and noone else really gives a damn about the outcome except for those directly involved.
to those juniors i hope u treasure the time u have in ri because jc is a completely different ballpark. and theres a time and season for everything (haha straight from magendrian) and you know what its time to do now. u know you dont have a right to say you should have gotten a medal until you yourself have created the foundation for yourself to step up and reach for it.
sec 1s u know u all are the biggest batch of trampers for a long time? n i hope u make use of the time u have to train hard and become a strong batch altogether, and not one by one just fall out and become involved in other stuff. impressed with ppl like benjamin who is gna go compete after just a few months of training, even with no gym exp at all. its not normal lah to put it simply but its a good experience for the next few years.
sec 2s..actually none of you are really going to read this. but still i hope you all can improve together..and same with the sec 3s. next year u all are the seniors alr and its upon you to keep up the legacy and keep the flag flying high and not regress.
and sec 4s. boon and jordan. i hope you really will regard ur time in gym as not just a 4 yr thing fullstop but give yourselves the final coda at the end. once u stop i guess u'll start to miss training and i hope you have the final bit to go on for 2 more years. basically.

National Interschool Blogging Championship

Though we suffer from no lack of Interschool competitions, Singtel and MOE have decided that we can also pit our 'diaries' against one another.

All schools will have their own group blogs, with several student representatives in charge of moderating and approving posts from the general student body. And of course, these 'student leaders' will be supervised by their teachers. The theme for this competition is 'Voices of Singapore Teenagers', once again demonstrating MOE's incompetence at recognising that we aren't Singapore Teenagers, but rather Singaporean Teenagers or Singapore's Teenagers.

This point has been overlooked many times before, in campaigns such as 'Uniquely Singapore' and 'Singapore Idol', which should be renamed 'Uniquely Singaporean' and 'Singaporean Idol' respectively so as to keep in line with PM Lee's suggestion that we all use Standard English, as embodied by famous linguists such as 50 Cent in the Club, Usher, and Beyonce.

Anyways, entries will be judged based on depth and clarity of thoughts, organisation and creativity. I'm surprised that they didn't name the judging scheme COC or PEARLS or what not, as this is totally out of line with MOE's penchant for giving things acronyms.

In any case, it'll be an interesting thing to watch, and perhaps those of us who are still schooling can contribute some of our thoughts, which after having more complex ideas simplified, points catergorised alphabetically and typed in such a way the text is shaped to look like an elephant, will be published on the Campus Moblog.

i trained on monday and tuesday ok. tuesday was basically just me and daojie? and wednesday and thursdays had smth on? jinhan and seetoh have been ponning since last last last week? monday i came when u put that nagle book on the bench. but i left early that day. so zz.

the road was long, bumps aplenty, but we made it all the same.

today when the teacher said "alright u may go now. thank you." the whole seminar room (geps only, muahaha) totally exploded. i walked out of the room feeling quite... nonchalent at first. the freedom hadnt sunk in, but after some time it dawned upon me that i was #$(*@!()*#!@##!@ free FINALLY.

i still remember 1 month ago, it seemed like eternity b4 the Os were going to pass, but pass it did. seems like those 21 #()*@! papers didnt seem that bad after all eh?

so went to watch the incredibles after that. OMG elastigirl and violet actually look rather hot, even though they are animated. and the BABY. SO CUTE!!!! ok pardon me, but its a uberrr gd show and everyone should watch it! better than nemo, which was over rated, and shrek, which was quite slapstick.

im so shagged, i couldnt sleep till 3 this morning. must be all the "pre post exam excitement". i need to exercise, i want my tramp, i want to.... i dunno. this new found freedom is invigorating, yet strange, so foreign.

but i shall enjoy it all the same =D

sorry to break up the trend of reminiscising about graduation. otherwise i shall bore all of u to bits with more news about rafflesian spirit n stuff. besides i think i put it in my bloggie already. hahaha.and big ming...cheating is bad. *stares hardly. btw rmb to go lecture ehz.(;
so anyway i thought i'lll move on to something slightly more present. like chem pract where i lost all e 4 calculation marks, 3 of the plan ur own expt, and 6 gas detection ones for not detecting oxygen on three occassions. yay! physics not that bad at least. lost one sf. and speaking of physics there was a total leak *glares at some certain schools. no fair. chem also. no comments on bio but i heard the prawn was weeird...chinguan scanned his cooked prawn n he sent me e hpoto hahha.
oh and rj openhse. quite comical. the gym perf actually. the rhy girls were like doing a pretty good job then andy comes along, crashes around the stage like some clumsy oaf, nearly falls off any number of times, and finally *does a jianzi off the stage, nearly killing his teammate in the proccess as he comes crashing down right beside her.* dramatic exit. truly worthy of a captain hahahahha. and the gym board..hahhaha. got pictures of everyone! but e rj gymnasts. ok im exaggerating but u get what i mean. kinda like the rigym's board actually. haha.haa.nvm its ok those than wanna join will join and those that aint interested wont. i think gym will be damn packed nxt yr. n ri gym aint e biggest of places * gasps then how. nvm nxt yr then worry.
and finaly i get to go overseas wif e sch hhah. go china! more accurately youngman's hometown. supposedly..actually i dont even know wad we're supposed to do there. pretend to train mebbe. we'll get totally pawned anyway. like sean was telling us abt some sri lankans who came over to sji to train, not that im discriminating against anybody, its just how he described the incident thats funny. nth to do wif sri lanka i think its a great place we learnt about in ss hehe.

RI Graduation

Wow RI Graduation eh? Mine seems like a whole lifetime ago...

RI Batch of 2000 I am, and to think it's only been 4 years, and in these 4 years I've accumalated more memories than I have in the first 16 years of my life.

My time in RI is always close to me, and I think that it was the happiest time of my life. Not in that I had the most fun, but in that it was a time of innocence. Before my eyes opened up to the reality which we call life. Things were so simple back then. Study, play, study play eat...

I'll never forget the times on the Astroturf playing soccer with my 4D guys, laughing my head off at the antics of my classmates, and of the most riduculous tackles and fumbles... Sleeping through ALL of De Cruz's classes, playing in Chinese class getting Heng Hui Joo (gosh is that how you spell her name?) all riled up with our lack of discipline (incidentally she's now Mrs something, cause she married my ex's uncle), and having the time of my life.

There was never stress in RI. You had a test later? Well just pop over to a neighbouring class and ask them for the paper and answers hehe. Failed? Aiya who cares just sign the damn test yourself and your parents will never find out haha...

Then came Sec 4 and the realisation that oh Shit! The O's are almost upon me and I haven't bloody studied hahaha... Then mugging away like mad for 2 months and taking the prelims and O's.

Ok I'm rambling. Dunno where this post is bringing me, but I'm just happy to reminisce. I just hope you guys can relate to what I'm saying.

Want you all to cherish your time in RI. The friends that you will make/ have made will stick to you for life if you forge the ties strongly enough. Just last month when I was back in Sg, I met up with Ziyang, Manson and Benedict. Don't know if you all remember them, but they were in Gym, and from my batch. And seeing them just brought me right back to RI days. The childishness (they bloody stripped me in the swimming pool!), the comradary, the fun times we had back in RI training on the tramp.

And now I've been through JC, a little bit of NS, and now I'm already into my 2nd year of Uni. But the friends I had in RI followed me through these phases... And are still with me. The lessons Gym taught me embody itself in the way I work, the way I live, the way I study.

I apologise for the jumble of a blog, but I hope that something got through to you all in the end. Maybe when I'm free I'll type a proper one rather than just whatever comes to mind. :)

grad ceremony was 2 days ago.

16th october 2004 - the day i graduated from raffles institution

so 4 years have flashed by since the day i stepped through the gates of ri. these 4 years have been filled happiness and sorrow, achievements and failures, but most importantly, ive made so many great friends in this very place.

how i would cherish the times we spent together, going for extended toilet breaks, screwing ard during yaksy's class and going for lunch at ET's coffeeshop. i will remember chiangmai chapter, how joey almost fell off doi inthanon, how we had cup noodle parties and how we shopped at the night bazaar. and how can i forget the johore trip in sec 3, when my table held the record of wolfing down the dishes the fastest, when we sat in the the boat watching fireflies, when we learnt all abt faraj belendir (leaky vagina) in the animal farm (oh there were posters on forced copulation and castration of cows and pigs too).

4M, the class that ive spend my past 2 years with. i will not lie and say that i love everyone of them, because i dont. but ive gotten close (dun think dirty) to many of them in these past 2 years. i remember last year, we had the greatest form tcr ever - prof limboonhuat. those were the days man. "leonard, hus ure best friend?" "JQUEK". ryan, paul, sinchi, dathau, weihan u guys have been totally awesome. thanks for being there with me. i will always look back fondly at the times when we swore at yaksy in unison, the times when we screwed around in the toilet (figuratively of course). it is these small things that i will remember everyone by and remember the days of our lives in ri.

gym has also been an integral part of my life. i dont deny that training could be really #(@*! up at times, but on the whole, it has been a joy training for competition. that being said, im really worried that ri gym is going to kapoot nxt year. to the sec 3s: work harder, pon less.

as i sat in the albert hong hall, together with 540 other sec 4s, i couldnt help feeling sad. no, maybe not sad. empty rather. the emptiness in my heart, knowing that i was about to leave ri. i love the school, i love the people but as they say, live goes on, i wont say that i dont want to leave ri forever, because i will have to move on.

ah. moderation was out on monday. horse from 13 pts drop to 9 pts! yay that means he can get into rj arts.

moderation was quite bastard to me though. nver moderate hcl and amath miss by 1. eck nvm la.

tried to start work again over the past few days. the thought of having to remug everything is... @*(&!@(*#. cant wait for the Os to be over man. 1.5 months more to freedom. the acs i physics paper is harder than i thought. the open ended is harder than ri's, although that doesnt say alot since our paper was easy this year. quite freaked for bio. RV papers are challenging man. RV papers are definitely one of the tougher ones around. my classmate, weihan, was being a freak. go and photocopy all the rg papers including sslit??? which he doesnt take. tang showed us all the histelect questions from all the other schools and boy am i glad im not from rg. the setters were being whorish and they didnt test anything on germany. if i say for that paper i would just... die.

lessons arent even lessons now. theyre chao sian. sit there do papers. esp hcl man. i did the chung cheng high hcl paper and i got 0/20 for the cloze. -laughsoutloud- partly due to the fact that i didnt read the passage and i just did the Qs. but mostly because i suck at cloze. hee

bio - b3 67%
when i got back the paper i was like WTF?! 67%. why did i screw up? 1. marking: express teachers marked so shittily. they were looking for key words while i always explain using concepts. 2. i din do much practice. just did bio 4 weeks b4 prelims and the day b4. din touch and prelim/prac papers

amath - b3 68%
ok this was quite lucky. i left 20/80 blank for p1. but i couldve gotten an a2 if it wasnt for my stupidity and carelessness.

ok these are the 2 screw ball subs. hoping for mod to a2 so i can be a straight A student. HAHAHA. btw these are the 2/3 subs that i got a1s for last year. how jacked. over confidence for bio i suppose. hai

u know why i got a frigging a2? i forgot to write the Q number for yingyongwen. ohh bravooo. i wud have gotten a1 otherwise. but i must admit i got damn lucky. so i cant complain much.

OMAN! i really couldnt believe this one. this was a screamer man. i got a c5 for CTs and my tcr sux shit. somehow i managed to do well for the essay. only 9 pple in my class got a1 so i wasnt expecting much. however i screwed up map reading. mcq 35/40. mapwork, which is part of the 40 marks, scored 5/10 -_-" how abt that

physics - a1 82%
DIG THAT! i improved by 44% since last year's eoys. the paper was quite ez and the marking was lenient.

chem - a1 85%
aiyah din get full marks for mcq. one mistake. 39/40. nothing noteworthy because it was an ez paper (o level standard)

cl - a1
last year's result.

7a1s 1a2 2b3s b4 mod. was aiming for 8a1s. musnt get complacent though, must do well for Os. mod coming out either tml or on monday. hope my hcl gets modded and my bio and amath get modded to a2.

I think im like demn crap lor. e exam topic was sth like describe how u lost a prized possession and what you did. so its kinda easy right? typically normal standard average topic.
so which idiot writes about his prized possession being a backsommer shoot?! ok that was a rhetorical qns.
so anw i dont even think i did it very well. the imageries were too scattered, the thing didnt flow too well and overall i guess my descriptions werent exactly succintly described or enough. And i think the thing was abit monotone? like more cold narration, instead of really humanistic emotions. as in there was feeling; because i tried to inject it in, but i think overall the thing was rather insipid and stone.nvm over liao so nth can do anymoer. and at least is better than writing about ice cream when the topic is 'walls'. dont ask me who did that; its just a funny thought that struck most ppl during e exam.
functional wasnt that bad. tho again i dont think i fully elabed everything demn well. dont slam me fer getting worried- the stupid thing is upon 30 marks.

ok lame comments aside. u knw i went gym today( because i didnt get tution frm miss peh, n i didnt train) n i realised, just hw stunted the development for a tramper is, esp in ri, esp since being a tramper mainly involves training 1 whole yr for maybe a 15-20 second long routine, and doing the same thing for veryveryvery long. tt's hardly the way to move forward isnt it??just think, can u tell ppl ur cca is gymnastics, or do u have to tell them is gymnastics trampoline? dont u think its a crime to leave without at least knwing something basic, no matter hw basic, abt the other 6 apparatus arnd u? another week passes, yet another week closer to prelims. 3 more weeks only! naeooooo
and im not even half way through. y cant we get study leave for prelims like next week??! lessons nowadays are as interesting as watching cement dry and it is just revision revision revision, hardly anything u wud call fun.

watch the village yesterday. the plot was interesting and quite good. although justin cheng and i were hum-ing away. for 1/2 the movie, my hand was covering my eyes and justing was burrying his head in my side. lol. not that it was a very scary movie, but i just can take horror=P. i need to watch a horror movie every year to remind myself why i dun waste $7.50 on horror movies.

just had the national day celebrations. this year's was quite interesting. all the sec 4 geppers were stoning at the back of the hall and making guai lan comments at the performers (ie. imran) like "GOOO HOME LA", boos and lots of screams.

went macs with yabbie and paul and there was this bunch of ITE girls next to us. we were like chatting after we ate our stuff, and they were going "wahhh so ungentlemanly...", "think they talk ang moh very good ah?". i think they said these stuff coz they had needed more seats and we werent budging. still. bloody bitches man. u cudve just asked instead of trying to insult us. oh and paul was saying issit our fault that they cant speak english. spazzos man those girls. reminds me of some incident a few months back... after training, jingheng, andy, someone else and i were at S11 having dinner. then this bunch of KCP shits walked pass us and said "raffles suxxx!" bunch of losers la.

so now im home and im damn tired. after school, the movie, SS evening lesson and a lack of sleep, im seriously exhausted. shall go and take a nap then mug. must make up for yesterday's lost mugging time.

trg was quite ok.. less than 1/3 of the gym turned up. wow. talk about enthusiasm huh? james was king lar. he ponned trg. why? he had a sprained toe. WOW. then guess wad? he's spotted playing soccer at the astro.kingster lar he. n basically some of the sec 3s went home to mug for the maths test. o well..that's quite a valid excuse..so yea..trg was rather quiet today. coach put joerel to try out tramp n hmm..he seems quite hard to teach..he'll look at u with this innocent face and then after u ask him to jump..nothing seems to get in. ah well. hope he bucks up. =D n whoa..jellyman's not bad oredi..he can actually jump properly! haha.. not bad lar. then we did some conditioning n nutting much lar.

then today did the physics re-quiz..wah even harder than the original one..like wtf? i think 19 of us are gonna fail..AGAIN..lol then my geog project die liao lar..i scrooed it up totally..the presentation was lacking alot in content n yea..i think she may juz borderly pass us..not bad lar..i did the whole thing in 2 hours aniwae. =D nowadays got so many projects. its like one after another..chem finish then geog..geog finish then now gonna be chinese webbie..then after tt some physics project..o man..when will it ever end..

ok this is the first time im typing an entry here for dunno how long. this is mainly because
1) i had nothing to say
2) when i had something to say i wasnt near a computer so i cldnt type it down. this explains my hiatus here.
3)when i had finally gotten onto my computer i had a dicey internet connection which lets me use msn but not i.e. now its decided to be consistent and its not even allowing me to access the net at all. grr.
jemtan says e results for agm are out on monday. so we'll figure out who's capt. and vcapt then.
dont believe jenhan when he says he screwed up his c.t.s i have arnd double his l1r5 so he's isnt in much of a position to complain ha.
for a while there i was wondering whether the left side of the blog was more stupid, or the right side. finally its swung back to the left side, mainly because the tagboard disappeared on my screen. weird ^o) but maybe someone did something about it. or my computer really hates me.
this entry doesnt have much in the way of organisation but sometimes scattered snatches of thoughts can work out too i guess. ha. maybe it doesnt have too much in the way of humour..but since jenhan left there wasnt too much funny stuff tt happened in boarding, save..
daojie trying to make the tree outside sweeter by throwing mentos and other stuff outside. so there was fruitplus on one of the branches and mentos scattereda round teh bottom.

on the last day of boarding daojie and boonshing tried to strip me bt tt was so blody hopeless too. because 1)skeletons cant match horses in terms of horsepower??so i ran out..but since i had to go back anyway when i climbed back they started again, and 2)when i gave up struggling they accused me of being gay and waiting for them to strip me..so it wasnt intersting anyway.

then after we all, andy horse boon daojie and i, went to orchard for dinner. we decided to eat crystal jade since everywhere else was damn ex. turned out that i paid 15 bux for my meal. 1 bowl of porridge and dessert. the porridge is damn good man!

Woah! I must say that I haven't had as much as I had with you guys on Friday in a long time. Being with the whole RI team makes me feel old, and yet makes me feel young again at the same time!

The whole meal at Seoul Garden was just a crazy affair! All the madness cooking on the metal plate was just insane! And to think that it wasn't so long ago that mixing rubbish at Seoul was something that my friends and I used to do.

Cherish your youth guys. You all won't feel invulnerable for much longer (case in point the swimmer who thought he could fly Mhuahahahahah!) so make the most of it! My RI days were the best. Always brings a smile to my face when I look back on all the rubbish I did haha! Oh to be young again...

To the Sec 4s, it's not over yet! Don't forget you all can still take part in A Div! So freaking hell all of you please sit down and start hitting the books! The O's won't count for much in 10 years time, but right now it's the most important exam you all will be sitting for, and I can't stress that enough. So don't screw it up! You know you all can always come to me if you all need anything.

To the Sec 3s and the rest of the young ones, make the most of your time in RI. Train hard, study hard, go after the pretty gym girls and have fun! I'll pop down for training and competitions as often as I can.

since boon gave his end-of-gym-comp speech, i'll give mine too. this comp yr has been a fun one for me. esp the tramp team. we rawk. =) thx 2 all of us we became real lame. but it was wad made trg fun. apart from all the scolding i got, it really cheered me up at times. i juz wanna thank the sec 4s - jenhan and jingheng, for scolding me (sounds real sadistic). well, at least i got a decent 8.30. the sudden thought of the sec4s leaving, and we becoming the nxt batch of leaders scares me a bit. lyk there was andy or jenhan all the while, and we didn't haf to worry much cuz they were always encouraging us, esp during comp. it was them hu bonded us well. and now, we're gonna take over, and it feels real scary to me. hope dat we will do well to replace them. jingheng wants me 2 be better than him. dunno if i can do it.

as for boon and daojie, my fellow b div ppl, we'll excel nxt yr rite? i tink we juz need 2 be more confident. look at ph lor. he sure looks confident lah. more confident than any of us. it's b'cuz of our lack of confidence dat we flop. let's not complain bout chs anymore lah. wad's done's done. let's work hard to even conquer the judges' biasness ya?

not surprisingly..chinese high swept all the golds! well why not? they're good. the judging juz made them look better. ah well..its all over. aniwae to everyone who competed : well done! u guys made this year's competition one to remember.

so friday marked the last day for the sec4 batch as being an ri gymnast. quite sad tho. training is gonna be so awfully weird without them.

to horse and jenny : ah..i dunno how to thank u guys. u all certainly made trainings more interesting for me..relays..bottle throwing..laming around..yea man u guys rawk!i remember sec 1..when i came in horse was a nice patient senior..jenhan and andy were rather mean but i guess without them being mean..standards would never have been reached. in fact..i remember for a period of time i really hated andy and jenhan for being so mean..but now im really thankful to them. thank you for being there when i needed u. thank you for teaching me during trainings when no one bothered to. thank you for ur encouragement and scoldings..it really helped. thank you for all the fun trainings we had together. we were the strongest team this year. we know that. not only were we the best in terms of skills, our team spirit was the strongest. its not about the result, rather, its about the process. achievements will juz be a nice bonus. i'll remember that. =D btw..next yr rj's gonna be real near ri..really hope u all can come for trainings more often =D. and jingheng! u better get into rj!!

on a lighter note..ytd night we had a combined celebration dinner with sji gym team. it was really a fun night to remember. some people were mixing raw food with egg yolk..add some spic and some watermelon. and..muahha the deadliest concotion to cause instant tummy ache! we really had fun disturbing the other people ther. =pPp muahah..we rawk. hope to see u guys next year yar? to shawn lee, sean tay, javier, timothy, perry, alvan, isaac : u guys rawk! really nice to be knowing u all..yar..rawk on!

and then talking about boarding..seriously..every week of boarding is full of shit. this week..we almost got another operation asswipe..juz that this time we managed to unclog the toilets ourselves! so..no more overflowing/regurgitating toilets that gives u lots of laughter and lots of phobia. (phobia of stepping on shit that overflowed). then ytd nite it was raining damn heavily. the rain was blowing into our room and was irritating me like siao. so..i covered my blanket over me. ok..for a while it worked..until i realised i cldnt sleep with the noise. so i snuggled closer the the wall which was away from the window. it worked for a while too..but..well..the rain still splattered in..so..i snuggled closer to the wall..haha now it worked. then..horse got up and was cursing smth like.."u all are asswipes lar.." then he closed his window and stepped on my bed..closed my window and gave me that u-asswipe-never-close-ur-window look. *oopz* i really like how my mind works when im sleeping..my mind concentrates on getting back to sleep rather than make my sleep even more comfortable.

ri/ex-ri ppl: im so proud of u c div. just like last yr nobody counted on u to win. but u did amazingly well. i know some of u got fairly emotional after u ur competition. just wanna say its totally alright as long as u dont get too wrapped up with it. nxt weeks is the artistic comp, for the artistic ppl do ur best again like this time round and nobody will blame u for everything. i know we've said b4 ur training attitude was fubared and all, and to be honest i still dont think too much of it now. but im sure u will all rise up to the challenge and mature after the whole thing is over. u have to. keep the flag flying.
b division, i know we know they know we were the mightest team that day but it just wasnt to be. u know that nobody is blaming everybody because we're all 1 team. nxt yr jenhan n i wont be arnd too often( im nt even sure whether i'll be arnd at all) but its important for you to bounce back from this and emulate this year's performance. and remember its the process that counts, not the result.
and to all the old ppl who came back: like xavier, big ming, fats, and andy too. u all were the moral boosters of it all because everyone still remembers ur era and im sure that u had encouraged us all the way and supported us. i cld tell by the scandalised faces when jenhan's score came out how bloody disgusted u were...even though u've got no official affiliations with ri anymore...i guess thats one of the few things that set ri apart from some other schs. thanks for being there ppl and esp andy: thnx for e encouragement yelling and coaching frm sec 1 i had doubts about joining gym in jc but after this no more. we'll pown nxt yr.
sji ppl: its been a quite a fun time this yr because u ppl are the greatest; u've got the nearly the same training ethic, lameness, determination as us! its been another year with a similar result, and it ended wif a similar cheer (*grins*). look forward to dinner a taka on fri night..n greater interaction wif u guys in time to come..both as sji and sji old boys...:D
chs ppl: i have really nothing much to say to you about you. just that im really happy im not from chs...its like win n ppl villianise u. lose and ppl still villianise u. aint a nice life i admit.
in general: this year has been a nice roundoff.
sec1: appealed into gym from rv(choir). got shunted/pushed/put into tramp at the end of the year.
sec2:screwed up my c div with a single facedrop but got a screwedup score anyway. just like jenhan felt demn jacked n cheated coz of e team bronze.
sec3:screwedup so bloody badly and kinda cost the team gold.
sec4: screwedup only slightly; i personally feel i did quite well overall.
but its all the team that counts in the end. we've really embodied team spirit in a way i never thought would be possible in gymnastics. we've epitomised grit, determination, enthusiasm, fun. we've trained bloody hard and finally i've done a routine during comm i cld be proud off. maybe there are ppl who think its gr8 tt we've pawned us..maybe there are ppl arnd who think we've losers because we cldnt even sniff the gold in 3 years of competition..to those ppl i suggest u go rethink ur thinking.

hey guys we WON our bronze man. relax about it. tchs may have got the gold, but hell, we know we have the best team around. it is bloody OBVIOUS. ok i shall not try to sound like a sore loser and bitch about how swimmer sux and how the judges are biased. coz if i do, ill just be branded as a sore loser. if u want to know what i think, ask me. if u dun like my opinion(read chs) then dig it. C div, u guys werent expected to win, to be honest, but u guys really did damn well. yu bo!!! oman seems like all the pple i scold the most end up alright(read jordan and yubo). well done daojie! looks like we still have someone to carry on the ri tramp tradition after boon and jordan. better rebuild ri tramp and recreate the golden generation. shit man, ri tramp has so many legendary teams. (bigmings era, xaviers era, andy's era). a div comp was quite good. for once there were so many teams. shawn lee is pro man, i really respect him for his dedication and sheer power. sprain his ankle so badly during shi chang di still can get 9.5 for comp. shenz. andy dun feel too bad, theres still next year and if we make it to rj, we'll form a team, and its gonna be a tough job stopping us. hee.

so basically we lost the gold, we had 2 major screw ups, without which, we still wudnt have won. so there, no need to feel sad. i dun blame u guys for screwing up coz no one is perfect and i know too well how u feel. but we really showed them this year what we're capable of and next year, ri bdiv will have a damn good chance of winning the gold. im really proud of u guys more than i can say man. our moves were way sweet this year. i cant say we deserved to win this year considering how we screwed up during the comp but we definitely did look like a champion team during the warm ups. no point crying over spilt milk, and that includes me, work hard next year and u guys will own, as in seriously FOWN the competition. dun worry me and jingheng and andy will come down often(i hope) no matter which jcs we go to.

anyway this years comp has been a really good experience for me, apart from the FUDGES. ri and sji renewed our frenship and its really cool having a fren on our side.

met many cool guys at this years comp. sean and jonathan u guys rock the socks man. comp wudnt be the same without u guys. it was really fun tokking kok abt weird gym injuries and of course, our 100 m freestyle champion swimmer. *evil laugh* its cool that we're having our gym celebration dinner together at seoul, and we'll be seeing each other alot next week.

thanks loads mingwei, xavier and alvin for coming down to support us. ure guidance has always been appreciated and always will be. i dunnoe how we would turn out so well if it wasnt for u guys being there for us when we needed it the most.

and so ends my 4 yrs in ri gym. so lets recount the memories.

sec 1: innocent sec 1. hated artistic, blardy weakling, and totally loved tramp. ended up in tramp, wonder why eh.
sec 2: became quite good and everybody was expecting me to do well, went to chiangmai, lost it all. screwed up during comp and got my score slashed out. felt blardy jacked.
sec 3: got over my sommer phobias and cud do a decent b routine. competed and got a bronze like in sec 2.
sec 4: this year. we totally owned. training was damn fun and tramp culture has never been better. i got the same score as i did last year for a more zai tao. oh well.

our team this year has been the EPITOMY of stupidity, zainess and lameness. but above all our team spirit is really our greatest strength. only when u have great team spirit, will everyone do their best for the team, to be the best they can be. that is what matters, not some metal piece, altho like jingheng says "it would be a nice bonus"

boarding this week was equally full of SHIT. operation asshole last week, and this week....*drum roll* we present....

today jingheng crapped, flushed twice, then it choked. din spill though
so we thought what the hell, might as well be stupid. took a video of us running in the toilet and flushing the toilet till it flooded and all the shit spilt all over. hhohohohohoho. are we blardy stupid or what!? rhetorical question, but thats besides the pt. hehe. for full details, contact me for the video=)

last nite we stacked up all the trophies. so we had a tower consisting of about 8 trophies? including 2 big team trophies. cool or wad? again contact me for the pics. hehehehe.
